The International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference
2005 RECAP
Las Vegas, Nevada (August 29, 2005) – As the 2005 year comes to a close the biggest news in the beauty industry is still the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, & Spa Conference (IECSC), Las Vegas; held at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 30, May 1-2, 2005.  Called the “Super Bowl of Skin Care,” by BiR, this year’s conference once again allowed attendees, exhibitors, educators, and guest the opportunity to experience the grandeur of the largest all-professional spa event in the world.  Packed with over 1250 skincare, body care, cosmetics, spa and salon equipment/furniture, plus the latest services and treatment, attendees were able to view/participate in live demonstrations, bring home retail and personal care products, purchase equipment, try samples, obtain literature, and explore business related tools from companies around the world. 

The Show Management, Inc. team also brought the industry a sensational educational program with the General Session, Manufacturer Classes, Business Summits, Makeup Workshops, Advanced/Post Conference Workshops, and Medical Spa Seminar.  World-renown educators such as Jane Martin-Wurwand, Sylvie Hennessy, Jan Marini, Lore Nestore, Jane Iredale, and Manon Pilon, were only a few of the industry leaders speaking throughout the 200 different seminars and presentations.  Whether the attendee was looking for, problematic skincare solutions, anti-aging, medical spa information, business management, makeup, photo-rejuvenation, nutrition, body treatments, peels, or waxing the variety and opportunities for educational advancement were endless.

Also to confirm this was the show “NOT TO MISS” add the Las Vegas Hair & Nail Conference (LVHNC), IECSC’s sister show, held simultaneously at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  Hair and nail professionals were able to visit companies such as OPI, Jessica Cosmetics, Creative Nail Design, TIGI, Goldwell, MOP, Rusk, Sexy Hair, KMS, Framesi, Fudge, Paul Brown of Hawaii, Retro Hair, plus a number of other hair and nail related product and service companies.  Included in one’s daily admission ticket, this year 45,000 attendees visited both IECSC and LVHNC.

Currently Show Management, Inc. is working on its East Coast event – the 8th International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference, Orlando – held at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida (October 29-31st, November 1st Classes Only).  Continuing our educational excellence, we will also be hosting the Medical Spa Summit, October 28th & 29th, as well as Medical Spa Pavilion added to the tradeshow floor.  Attendees will have the chance to visit 500 exhibit booths of outstanding skincare, body care, cosmetics, furniture, equipment, services, and supplies, plus an array of educational opportunities during the event as well as the advanced education workshops following the conference.  To add to the total wellness experience, the Gaylord Palms offers its 20,000 square foot Canyon Ranch Spa, as well as, restaurants and entertainment encased in the 4 acre glass dome property…providing the perfect business vacation.
